We’re having the rest of the squash and sausage soup tonight, which I’ve had frozen, so I thought it would be nice to have fresh croutons using the leftover bread from the loaf I made last week.
How have I lived having never tasted a fresh, hot crouton right from the oven? They are in serious danger of being eaten by me by myself; no sharing. Every time I open the oven to test one, I think I’m in heaven.
I did olive oil, garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and parmesan. They should be ready in about 20 minutes. Then into the soup with them, or on the side salad.
They’re so good, I want to make bread again just so I can make croutons!
